Virtual airline list news pag 481

Updates and news frequently published by the Staff and VA CEO pag 481

Ryanair Virtual is just one of many virtual airlines that exist in the world of aviation simulation. From Delta Virtual Airlines and SkyTeam Virtual to Lufthansa Virtual and EasyJet Virtual, there is no shortage of options when it comes to joining a virtual airline. Many of the major airlines are represented in the virtual world, such as Southwest Virtual Airlines, United Virtual Airlines, Emirates Virtual, Delta Virtual, British Airways Virtual, KLM Virtual, and American Airlines Virtual.

For those who are new to the world of aviation simulation, virtual airlines are organizations that simulate the operations of a real-world airline using flight simulation software. Members of a virtual airline can fly scheduled flights, take part in events, and interact with other virtual pilots. These organizations often have strict guidelines and procedures in place to ensure that flights are conducted as realistically as possible.

Virtual airlines can be found on a variety of different platforms, including VATSIM Virtual Airlines, FS2020 Virtual Airlines, and IVAO Virtual Airlines. Some virtual airlines are dedicated to specific types of flights, such as FedEx Virtual Airlines for cargo operations or Air Canada Virtual for flights within Canada.

Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines is another popular flight simulation game that has a thriving virtual airline community. Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines are created and operated by players within the game and can range from small regional airlines to global carriers like Air France Virtual and Cargolux Virtual. Additionally, there are Cargo Virtual Airlines like UPS Virtual Airlines and Wizz Air Virtual, which focus on cargo operations.

Virtual airlines are not just limited to commercial airlines. There are also MSFS Virtual Airlines that are specifically tailored to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, like the ones listed on VAMSYS Airlines List. These virtual airlines provide a great way for pilots to hone their skills and explore the world of aviation simulation.

With so many virtual airlines to choose from, it can be difficult to know which one to join. Many virtual airlines have their own ranking systems and awards, so it's important to do your research and find the one that best fits your interests and skill level. Whether you're a seasoned virtual pilot or just starting out, there's a virtual airline out there that's perfect for you. So why not take to the skies and join the ranks of the best virtual airlines today?

Platinum Airways entertains Peak Traffic
Platinum Airways has announced yet another challenging Destination of the Week theme: Peak Traffic. The series will take mountain climbers to the five continent’s airports that provide prime access to their highest peaks. February promises to be a very scenic month for Platinum Airways’ DOTW pilots. For five weeks, they will take mountain climbers to the airport that is closest to each continent’s highest peak. The series starts with Africa’s enigmatic Kilimanjaro volcano, and Kilimanjaro International Airport (HTKJ). The second week takes us to Mont Blanc Airport (LFLP), the closest airport to Europe’s highest mountain. Next up is Alaska, and McKinley National Park Airport (PAIN). From there, we will travel south, to the main airport for South America’s highest peak, the Aconcagua, not too far from Mendoza’s El Plumerillo International Airport (SAME). The sting of Peak Traffic is in its tail. The series ends with arguably the world’s most dangerous airport and the main entry port to Mount Everest Base Camp, Tenzing-Hillary or Lukla Aiport (VNLK). It may be a short flight, less than half an hour, from Kathmandu International (VNKT), but it is invariably described as one of the most hair raising experiences. DOTW missions qualify for a 5% bonus if completed within the allotted time span. They come with charts, links to scenery files for FS9, FSX and X-Plane if available, and a selection of YouTube videos. About Platinum Airways: Keen to deliver on its mission to keep the fun in the hobby, Platinum Airways is probably the only virtual airline to combine an Open Skies policy, allowing its pilots to fly any mission of their choice with the aircraft of their choice at the time of their choice, with a strategic hub network. The carefully selected hubs, Newark (KEWR), Dallas-Fort Worth (KDFW), Vancouver (CYVR), Perth (YPPH) and Brussels (EBBR), should be attractive to a global membership. In addition, Platinum Airways offers its pilots an often cheeky Destination of the Week, Relief, Military and Cargo missions and a soon to be launched Flight Dispatch division. Sticking to the KISS principle (Keep It Straight and Simple), Platinum Airways hosts an active forum and a screenshot of the week competition, with the winner providing the main picture on its home page for the next week. Virtual GlobeAero Is Up
Virtual GlobeAero is open! GlobeAero operates an ACMI airline. ACMI is defined as follows: An ACMI(or wet lease)is a leasing arrangement whereby one airline (lessor) provides an aircraft, complete crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) to an airline [or other type of business acting as a broker of air travel] (the lessee), which pays by hours operated. Operating like this means our pilots have a variety of places to fly to. We fly where ever we are needed. One day you might be flying European holiday charters, the next maybe you are in Africa or Asia. Our pilots are also free to fly their own charters, within a very relaxed set of guidelines. GlobeAero has two pilot bases, one in Bristol, England (EGGD) and one in Dubai, U.A.E (OMDB) Vatsim and IVAO flying is encouraged but not mandatory. At GlobeAero we strive for realism in our operations and fleet. Like a real airline our fleet is tracked, our planes go in for checks, leases expire, contracts with new planes are awarded to us, etc. If you are looking for something different with your flying, come fly the globe with GlobeAero.

Platinum Airways visits Golden Slopes in January
Honouring a tradition, Platinum Airways’ Destination of the Week will be visiting ski country in January. In a series called On Golden Slopes, the very virtual Open Skies airline will touch down at four special runways in the heart of winter sport country. On Golden Slopes builds on Platinum Airways’ tradition to visit ski resort destinations during the month of January. This year’s destinations are no exception. On Golden Slopes kicks off with a visit to St Johann in Tirol (LOIJ), a short runway airfield near Austria’s famous Kitzbühel region, where the world’s most challenging downhill race will be run at the Hahnenkamm on 26 January. The series continues at the other side of the Atlantic, with the private Buckhorn Ranch Airport (0CO2) near Crested Butte, CO, a former coal mining town now called the last great Colorado ski town. The third Golden Slope area of St Moritz, Switzerland is near one of Europe’s most challenging airfields: Samedan or Engadin Airport (LSZS). On Golden Slopes concludes with Heber City Municipal Airport or Russ McDonald Field (36U), close to Utah’s skiing country. DOTW missions qualify for a 5% bonus if completed within the allotted time span. They come with charts, links to scenery files for FS9, FSX and X-Plane if available, and a selection of YouTube videos with approaches and take-offs.
