Ryanair Virtual is just one of many virtual airlines that exist in the world of aviation simulation. From Delta Virtual Airlines and SkyTeam Virtual to Lufthansa Virtual and EasyJet Virtual, there is no shortage of options when it comes to joining a virtual airline. Many of the major airlines are represented in the virtual world, such as Southwest Virtual Airlines, United Virtual Airlines, Emirates Virtual, Delta Virtual, British Airways Virtual, KLM Virtual, and American Airlines Virtual.

For those who are new to the world of aviation simulation, virtual airlines are organizations that simulate the operations of a real-world airline using flight simulation software. Members of a virtual airline can fly scheduled flights, take part in events, and interact with other virtual pilots. These organizations often have strict guidelines and procedures in place to ensure that flights are conducted as realistically as possible.

Virtual airlines can be found on a variety of different platforms, including VATSIM Virtual Airlines, FS2020 Virtual Airlines, and IVAO Virtual Airlines. Some virtual airlines are dedicated to specific types of flights, such as FedEx Virtual Airlines for cargo operations or Air Canada Virtual for flights within Canada.

Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines is another popular flight simulation game that has a thriving virtual airline community. Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines are created and operated by players within the game and can range from small regional airlines to global carriers like Air France Virtual and Cargolux Virtual. Additionally, there are Cargo Virtual Airlines like UPS Virtual Airlines and Wizz Air Virtual, which focus on cargo operations.

Virtual airlines are not just limited to commercial airlines. There are also MSFS Virtual Airlines that are specifically tailored to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, like the ones listed on VAMSYS Airlines List. These virtual airlines provide a great way for pilots to hone their skills and explore the world of aviation simulation.

With so many virtual airlines to choose from, it can be difficult to know which one to join. Many virtual airlines have their own ranking systems and awards, so it's important to do your research and find the one that best fits your interests and skill level. Whether you're a seasoned virtual pilot or just starting out, there's a virtual airline out there that's perfect for you. So why not take to the skies and join the ranks of the best virtual airlines today?

Southwest Virtual Airlines An Airline Built To Succede
Today after doing research into Southwest Virtual Airlines and Flight Unlimited I have determined that Southwest Virtual and Flight Unlimited as a whole are built to be successful. For one Flight Unlimited provides many opportunities to pilots because of its multitude of different airlines for pilots to fly for as well as potential to become staff for Flight Unlimited as a whole or for individual airlines. Southwest is also looking to grow and achieve a lot in these coming months as their current CEO actually is in charge of running all of the VA's at Flight Unlimited he is looking for a true replacement as well as dedicated staff team to take over and keep up the hard work. Pilots will have an excellent experience at Southwest and at Flight Unlimited and I would highly encourage checking them out and sending in an application today as either a staff member or as a pilot!

Platinum Airways to add online flying to its offering and seek affiliation with VATSIM
Platinum Airways announces that it is adding online flying to its offering. The very virtual Open Skies airline will seek affiliation with VATSIM as soon as its online membership meets the online flying platform’s requirements. In its three years of existence, Platinum Airways has established itself as a high content and low barrier virtual airline that focuses on its pilots and not on replicating a real-world airline. As the pioneer of Open Skies in the world of virtual airlines, Platinum Airways allows its pilots to fly the mission of their choice with the aircraft of their choice at the time of their choice. By default, Platinum Airways has always been an offline VA, as it trusted its pilots to file correct PIREPs. As several aspiring members indicated over the past months that they prefer an online experience, Platinum Airways management has decided to add online to its offering. Platinum Airways’ default policy remains that it is an offline airline. However, in order to provide corporate support to pilots who have or would like to join an online network, Platinum Airways will seek VA affiliation with VATSIM once it meets the online flying platform’s membership requirements for virtual airlines. Existing and aspiring members are invited to state whether they should be considered offline or online pilots. In support, Platinum Airways will appoint an online manager and will enable the online membership to communicate special events and other activities via the Platinum Airways website. Platinum Airways hopes that by removing this potential barrier, it will be in a position to attract a pilots segment that it was unable to service until now. About Platinum Airways: Keen to deliver on its mission to keep the fun in the hobby, Platinum Airways is probably the only virtual airline to combine an Open Skies policy, allowing its pilots to fly any mission of their choice with the aircraft of their choice at the time of their choice, with a strategic hub network. The carefully selected hubs, Newark (KEWR), Dallas-Fort Worth (KDFW), Vancouver (CYVR), Perth (YPPH) and Brussels (EBBR), should be attractive to a global membership. In addition, Platinum Airways offers its pilots an often cheeky Destination of the Week, Relief, Military and Cargo missions and a Flight Dispatch division. Sticking to the KISS principle (Keep It Straight and Simple), Platinum Airways hosts an active forum and a screenshot of the week competition, with the winner providing the main picture on its home page for the next week. AEOLUS Alliance formed
Hello Fellow Viewers Welcome to AEOLUS Alliance created by Joeri Luckermans (CEO of TNT Virtual) and Manuel Seiwald (CEO of Hellenic Airways). We would first like to thank you for taking an interest in our alliance and promise you no disappointment. So what is AEOLUS Alliance? Well AEOLUS Alliance was established in 2013 by Hellenic Airways and TNT Virtual to offer a nice environment where virtual airline staff can come together and support each other within a nice and friendly community. Our main focus lies on VATSIM/IVAO events, codesharing agreements and support. We at the alliance like to have an environment where we aim to get together for a friendly virtual drink at our virtual pub and share our experiences with other airlines in our alliance to make the ultimate alliance group ever. What do we offer that others don’t? We can offer airline’s that join us support and help in making there companies better and well known in the virtual skies. We believe that virtual airlines become better with support from others (Eg TNT and Hellenic airways set up). We also make sure that any progress to help your airline is to the up most standard and unlike other alliances we aim to get the changes done swiftly and at a high rate. TNT and Hellenic airways have always tried to mimic real life operations and also maintain high levels of realism and operating standards. We also want to help other airlines get more pilots flying online and representing not just your company but our alliance. Why sign up? Simple, you wouldn’t want to miss out on a huge opportunity to expand and get more pilots for your airline. Some pilots don’t fly with virtual airlines because they want to fly in other parts of the world and so by codesharing flights with other airlines in our alliance your pilots can get the ultimate experience in world travel with different airlines from all over the world whilst still flying with their airline. How do I sign up? Visit http://www.aeolusalliance.com/membership/ and follow the on screen instructions or Contact Joeri or Manuel via E-mail or on our airline websites and you can be part of a global revolution.

Platinum Airways holds a Great Gig in the Sky
During the summer holidays, Platinum Airways will be holding a Great Gig in the Sky. In July and August, the Open Skies virtual airline will be visiting some of the greatest music festivals around the globe. The Great Gig in the Sky, a track on Pink Floyd’s historic The Dark Side of the Moon album, is the best description for Platinum Airways’ summer holidays destination of the week series. For nine consecutive weeks, the Open Skies virtual airline will be transferring music revellers and roadie material from festival to festival. The first Gig is the world famous Roskilde Festival on Denmark’s Zealand Island that runs from 30 June to 7 July. This event is serviced by a double runway airfield, Roskilde Airport (EKRK). From there, we travel to TW Classic in Werchter, Belgium, a one day event on 13 July featuring The Boss and his E Street Band, Carlos Santana, Blondie, Keane and others. As Werchter is right under the final approach path to RWY25R, Brussels (EBBR) is the logical airport for this event. Gig # 3 is the Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg on Finger Lakes, NY, with Ithaca Tompkins Regional (KITH) as its feeder airport. From there, we travel to the Fuji Rock Festival held in the Naeba ski resort (and no longer at the foot of Mount Fuji). This means that we’ll fly into Narita (RJAA). We’ll cross into August with Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL. As we have already visited O’Hare in DOTW, we’ll make Midway Airport (KMDW) our destination. Our sixth Great Gig in the Sky is Way Out West, for which we need to travel east to Gothenburg, Sweden, to Gothenburg City Airport (ESGP). We cross the Atlantic again for the farewell party of the World Electronic Music Festival in Toronto, Ontario, which takes us to Toronto-Pearson International (CYYZ). As distance is no problem, we’re hopping over to Europe again, for the Hip Hop Kemp Festival in Hradec Kralowe in the Czech Republic from 22 to 24 August, and its airport (LKHK). We end our Great Gig in the Sky with an unusual festival: a full week’s Burning Man in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. Although a temporary airfield is set up at the festival site, we’ll have Reno-Tahoe International (KRNO) as our DOTW. DOTW missions qualify for a 5% bonus if completed within the allotted time span. They come with charts, links to scenery files for FS9, FSX and X-Plane if available, and a selection of YouTube videos. Sticking to the KISS principle (Keep It Straight and Simple), Platinum Airways hosts an active forum and a screenshot of the week competition, with the winner providing the main picture on its home page for the next week. Platinum Airways visits Island in the Sun
Platinum Airways will be visiting Islands in the Sun in its June Destination of the Week series. Island in the Sun presents a nice mix of easy going and extremely difficult approaches in the Caribbean and Pacific. As the northern hemisphere’s summer holidays are only a month away, Platinum Airways management deemed it fit to prepare its pilots for the big exodus towards the sun. We have selected five destinations with a varying level of difficulty. The series starts with a long flight to Won Pat (PGUM) on Guam Island. The second Island in the Sun is Saint Barthélemy aka St Barts and its Gustaf III Airport (TFFJ), a regular top contender in dangerous approaches competitions. The third Island in the Sun destination is Kahului (PHOG), Hawaii’s second busiest airport. From there, we fly to Melville Hall (TDPD) on Dominica, another difficult approach. The final Island in the Sun will allow our pilots to relax: Bonriki (NGTA) on Kiribati Island in the Pacific. DOTW missions qualify for a 5% bonus if completed within the allotted time span. They come with charts, links to scenery files for FS9, FSX and X-Plane if available, and a selection of YouTube videos.
