Ryanair Virtual is just one of many virtual airlines that exist in the world of aviation simulation. From Delta Virtual Airlines and SkyTeam Virtual to Lufthansa Virtual and EasyJet Virtual, there is no shortage of options when it comes to joining a virtual airline. Many of the major airlines are represented in the virtual world, such as Southwest Virtual Airlines, United Virtual Airlines, Emirates Virtual, Delta Virtual, British Airways Virtual, KLM Virtual, and American Airlines Virtual.

For those who are new to the world of aviation simulation, virtual airlines are organizations that simulate the operations of a real-world airline using flight simulation software. Members of a virtual airline can fly scheduled flights, take part in events, and interact with other virtual pilots. These organizations often have strict guidelines and procedures in place to ensure that flights are conducted as realistically as possible.

Virtual airlines can be found on a variety of different platforms, including VATSIM Virtual Airlines, FS2020 Virtual Airlines, and IVAO Virtual Airlines. Some virtual airlines are dedicated to specific types of flights, such as FedEx Virtual Airlines for cargo operations or Air Canada Virtual for flights within Canada.

Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines is another popular flight simulation game that has a thriving virtual airline community. Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines are created and operated by players within the game and can range from small regional airlines to global carriers like Air France Virtual and Cargolux Virtual. Additionally, there are Cargo Virtual Airlines like UPS Virtual Airlines and Wizz Air Virtual, which focus on cargo operations.

Virtual airlines are not just limited to commercial airlines. There are also MSFS Virtual Airlines that are specifically tailored to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, like the ones listed on VAMSYS Airlines List. These virtual airlines provide a great way for pilots to hone their skills and explore the world of aviation simulation.

With so many virtual airlines to choose from, it can be difficult to know which one to join. Many virtual airlines have their own ranking systems and awards, so it's important to do your research and find the one that best fits your interests and skill level. Whether you're a seasoned virtual pilot or just starting out, there's a virtual airline out there that's perfect for you. So why not take to the skies and join the ranks of the best virtual airlines today?

Platinum Airways visits Budget airlines focused airports
Platinum Airways, the very virtual Open Skies airline, is visiting four airports that are focus cities or hubs for low-cost airlines. The Budget Destination of the Week series takes pilots to Schönefeld, Fort Lauderdale, Tan Son Nhat International and William P Hobby Airports. Platinum Airways’ June theme of Destination of the Week is all about budget airlines and their hubs and/or focus airports. The series starts at Schönefeld Airport (EDDB), still Berlin's secondary airport that focuses on low-cost airlines such as easyJet and Ryanair. The second budget DOTW is Fort Lauderdale (KFLL), the largest base for Spirit Airlines and JetBlue. Budget airport #3 is Tan Son Nhat International (VTTS) near Ho Chi Minh (formerly Saigon), a hub for Jetstar Pacific and VietJet. We conclude Budget with a visit to William P Hobby Airport (KHOU) near Houston, TX, focus city for Southwest. As usual, DOTW offers charts to be downloaded and links to scenery files. A selection of YouTube videos usually contains flight deck and ground views with landings and departures. About Platinum Airways: Keen to deliver on its mission to keep the fun in the hobby, Platinum Airways is probably the only virtual airline to combine an Open Skies policy, allowing its pilots to fly any mission of their choice with the aircraft of their choice at the time of their choice, with a strategic hub network. The carefully selected hubs, Newark (KEWR), Dallas-Fort Worth (KDFW), Vancouver (CYVR), Perth (YPPH) and Brussels (EBBR), should be attractive to a global membership. In addition, Platinum Airways offers its pilots an often cheeky Destination of the Week, Military and Cargo. Sticking to the KISS principle (Keep It Straight and Simple), Platinum Airways hosts an active forum and a screenshot of the week competition, with the winner providing the main picture on its home page for the next week. Platinum Airways looks at volcanoes
Over the next five weeks, Platinum Airways, the very virtual Open Skies airline, will look at the effect of volcanoes on aviation. The Ash Destination of the Week series will take us around the globe. Four years ago, large parts of European air space were closed due to volcanic ash clouds. Platinum Airways’ May DOTW theme will focus on the effect of volcanoes on aviation. The series starts with a visit to the Eyjafjallajökull in southern Iceland, as this volcano’s eruption led to the cancellation of thousands of flights, leaving millions of passengers stranded or rerouted. Our first DOTW is Reykjavík’s domestic airport (BIRK). Arguably the first major emergency caused by volcanic ash was BA9 from EGLL to NZAA, with several stops. On its leg from WMKK to YPPH, the B744 flew through a volcanic ash cloud that originated from Mount Galunggung. Its four engines shut down and the aircraft successfully diverted to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (WIHH). The third Ash DOTW takes us to Clark International (RPLC), the closest airport to Mount Pinubo, the volcano with the strongest eruption over the past decades. The two final Ash DOTW’s look at what may happen in the future. The largest supervolcano on land is Ash destination #4: the Yellowstone Caldera. The main access airport into Yellowstone is Jackson Hole (KJAC). We end the series with the volcano that poses a potential threat to the largest population living underneath, Mount Vesuvius near Naples, Italy, and its airport, LIRN. Platinum Airways remembers MH370
Platinum Airways, the very virtual Open Skies airline, will remember MH370 and its passengers and crew. Destination of the Week will visit four airports that play a significant role in the search and recovery operation of the ill-fated Malaysian flight. In Memory Of MH370 will start at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (WMKK), where the B777 took off just after midnight local time on 8 March. The second destination is the Royal Australian Air Force Base Pearce (YPPA) near Perth, Western Australia, from where search missions to the Southern Indian Ocean depart. In Memory Of MH370 then visits Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (KSEA), the closest airport to the National Safety Transportation Board’s Western and Pacific offices. As the aircraft was built by Boeing, the NTSB is bound to be involved in the investigation. And we end In Memory Of MH370 with a visit to another investigative authority, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch based at Farnborough (EGLF), as the AAIB was instrumental in determining the probable crash location based on satellite data from INMARSAT.
